PG2026 Letter to local businesses
January 27, 2026
Dear Families of 2026 Seniors!
It is hard to believe our seniors will be graduating in a few months! The Project Graduation Committee has been hard at work preparing for your student’s special post-graduation celebration, which will take place June 7-8. It costs about $300 for each student, and with about 130 students in this graduating class, we need to raise at least $40K. So far, we have raised a little over $9000, so leaving us to raise at least $31K.
ABOUT
Project Graduation aims to keep our graduates safe and chemical-free as they celebrate this important milestone. The safety of this night is our gift to the graduates and has been a community tradition since the 1980s. Previous classes have danced aboard Casco Bay Lines, laughed in comedy clubs, and even ziplined through a forest!
TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS
CE Project Graduation relies on the donations from local businesses and organizations and, most importantly, from families to provide the necessary funds to run Project Graduation. We are excited to announce that we are officially a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit, and all your donations are tax-deductible charitable donations.
HELPING US FIND LOCAL BUSINESS SPONSORS
If you own, work for, or know of a business that might support this effort, please find the letter to local businesses on our website: https://www.capeprojectgraduation.com/parent-letters.
Easy to forward and help us find sponsors. This letter includes the list of benefits per sponsor level, such as advertising on our website and social media platforms.
Please email ceprojectgrad26@gmail.com and let us know which business and contact person you shared the letter with, so that our team knows not to approach them again.
FAMILY CONTRIBUTIONS
We kindly invite families to contribute to the graduation celebration. A tax-deductible donation of $300 per student helps cover the cost of the event. We understand that every family’s situation is different, and these amounts may not be possible for everyone. If you are able to give a little extra, your support can help ensure these festivities take place. Thank you for contributing in whatever way feels right for your family. Your generosity helps make this a special experience for every student.
Please respond to this email with which option you prefer and include the name of your student!

Dear Local Business Owner,
The Cape Elizabeth Project Graduation Committee has been hard at work preparing a fun, substance-free, and memorable night of celebration for the Senior Class of 2026, scheduled for June 7. This cherished Cape Elizabeth tradition has protected and supported our graduates for decades, and it continues thanks to the generosity of families, community partners, and local businesses like yours.
This year, we are proud to announce that Cape Elizabeth Project Graduation is now a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, which allows all contributions to be recognized as tax-deductible charitable donations.
The cost of our night’s events, including bus transportation for over 130 students and chaperones, venues, food & beverages, and lots of entertainment to last from dusk into the early morning hours, will be over $40K. Our committee is planning many fundraising events for the community to come together. Still, we also need to count on our local businesses to help us toward our goal in maintaining this meaningful tradition.
WAYS YOUR BUSINESS CAN CONTRIBUTE
Your tax-deductible support can take several forms, including:
